Moro did not take part in Andreotti’s second government (June 1972 – July 1973, supported by DC, PLI, PSDI); during that period he chaired the Commission on Foreign affairs of the Chamber of Deputies. He was again Minister of Foreign affairs between July 1973 and November 1974 (Rumor’s fifth government), and had to deal with the aftermath of the oil crisis, which led him to reaffirm the dialogue with the Arab world, while protecting Israeli’s security.
